Custom Pet Portraits and How to Sumbit Your Own Cute Pet Pic for Future Designs
Custom orders or submissions for future designs can take the form of traditional portraits, canvasses, and wall art – OR shaped into patterns and become shoes, duvet covers, backpacks, and more!
What to Send in Your Email
For commissions, custom pet portraits, or to submit a pet picture for a chance to be featured on a future design, send us an email with:
- a high-quality picture of your pet (most newer iPhone cameras tend to do a great job), making sure they’re fully in the frame
- anything you want me to know (I love pet bios)
- special requests or specific products you’d like us to prioritize
- if there is a deadline.
“High quality” pet picture checklist:
- Pet is taking up most of the frame, (in other, the picture is taken close up)
- Image doesn’t pixelate immediately when zoomed in, nor is it blurry because your pet had the wiggles when you took the picture
- Ideally in natural light and from several angles
- oh, if you can take the picture at your pet’s eye level, that helps too!

| How it works | By submitting a picture, you agree to let HistoriDOGraphy use it to create a unique design, which then becomes available as apparel, wall art, home decor, and/or accessories, which you can purchase through our shop on an ongoing basis (Priced as listed, poke around at what we have and what we do here). |
| Step by step | 1) send us pictures 2) we work our magic. sometimes it takes a few weeks to get a design perfect, sometimes they come together in a few days. 3) If a decision between drafts needs to be made, we send you drafts to pick from. 4) otherwise, we’ll send you a link to your design when we’re done, and that becomes your very own custom pet portrait shop. |
| When We charge Commission Fees | Fees associated with a custom order depend on the complexity of your request, how fast you need it, our availability, and the kind of purchase you intend to make. |
| When are fees waived? | When we have open availability and your order is straightforward, we do our best to waive fees whenever possible. Fees are also waived for business orders, or any other case in which you plan to use the storefront to buy merchandise with your design multiple times. We do take tips, though, if you feel so inspired 🙂 |
| When do fees apply? | If you’re in a time crunch, plan to order one item one time, or your request demands significantly more time designing or customizing than usual, our commission fees will apply. Typical commission fees range from 30-150. |
